New identity and website for a non-profit which purchases and restores railcars in order to run them again for historical, educational and entertainment purposes.
Identity requirements were to:
- use identifiers to relate to the original logo of the Erie Lackawanna railroad to garner those enthusiasts
- create a sophisticated look that would also appeal to new audiences intersted in the educational value of the group
- design an identity to carry the group into the future, including possible ventures into the educational, tourism and business sectors
Website requirements were to:
- design a user-friendly experience
- display a wide array of information, including: news, extensive photo albums and protected members-only information
- be easily expandable both within the site and to sister-sites to be created for education and tourism
